This 19oz regular straight was discontinued for production reasons a few years ago when the core models underwent a renewal. After receiving a ton of inquiries however, Samurai have now reissued this model as the only regular straight model in the 19oz series, which previously only offered slim models. They've of course kept the much-loved hard and rough texture characteristic of this 19oz denim.

First produced in 2004 by the Samurai, the 19oz. Samurai original selvedge was the heaviest denim on the market at the time. Blending indigo-dyed warp threading of a thinner #5 with weft yarns of the thicker size #4 creates a rigid denim face, while maintaining a soft inner side of the denim. Samurai uses only 100% Texas cotton for the fabric and construction threading of the jeans. The warp yarns are dyed to the deepest hue of indigo possible to ensure the highest contrast fades as the jeans are worn in.
